Over the past several weeks, you’ve heard from our leaders about actions we’ll take to support the fight for racial equity and justice. One of the ways we’re doing that is through our work with Business Roundtable and their Racial Equity and Justice Subcommittee on Equitable Justice led by Randall Stephenson.

The subcommittee released policy principles today for policing reform. These principles represent the collective views of America’s top business leaders, and are organized into five categories:

  • Community engagement
  • Data collection and transparency
  • Accountability
  • Minimum national policing standards
  • Training

Since the 1960s, our company has been at the forefront of civil rights advocacy and the fight for equality. As employers of millions of Americans, Business Roundtable members – including AT&T – recognize our nation’s leading businesses have a crucial role to play in the debate that’s taking place today.

That’s why we join Business Roundtable in calling on Congress to pass significant bipartisan policing reform urgently.

Make no mistake – this is a pivotal moment in our nation’s history and the pursuit of equality for all. AT&T’s leadership, including John Stankey and Randall Stephenson, is committed to advocating personally and through the Business Roundtable to drive awareness and action.
