Jacobie Jones runs a 600-person call center for AT&T with the understanding that his employees don’t need a boss, they need a leader. To Jones, this means not only mentoring and coaching his teams on how to succeed at their jobs, but also treating them as part of his family. Jones and AT&T, as part of Believe ChicagoSM, have goals that stretch beyond providing employment opportunities to Chicago residents. They are also focusing efforts to expand management training tools and tactics to advance career and life opportunities for those who are already part of the AT&T family. Through this, Jones says AT&T is building a supportive community that he and his team are proud to be a part of.
