Edward Jones, a re-entry case manager and motivational speaker at the Institute for Nonviolence Chicago, an organization dedicated to promoting the principles of nonviolence, is determined to be part of the solution. Jones spends his days helping those who have been in prison reintegrate into society after their sentences have been completed; work he truly understands the importance of because he was once on the receiving side of that help. His impact comes in many forms, from helping those convicted find housing to ensuring they have access to any necessary counseling. In collaboration with AT&T and Believe ChicagoSM, Jones is also helping former members of the prison community find stable jobs and become self-sufficient, so they don’t have to turn to the streets for survival. Jones, who calls the Institute for Nonviolence Chicago the best thing to happen to the community, says Believe ChicagoSM has been a blessing from AT&T, and he is excited to continue seeing the impact the partnership has on the citizens of his community.
