The Bridge, a homeless recovery center in downtown Dallas, is providing AT&T employees with the opportunity to give back in their own backyard. Located approximately half a mile from AT&T Inc.’s global headquarters building, The Bridge serves the downtown Dallas homeless community by offering three nutritious meals and a safe place to sleep, amongst other services. As part of the AT&T Believe DallasSM program, local employees in Dallas have banded together to immerse themselves in The Bridge community and gain an understanding of some of the issues facing the homeless. David Woody, President and CEO of The Bridge, is hoping that the AT&T Believe DallasSM program will inspire other businesses in Dallas to get involved. He believes collaboration is the key to moving beyond temporary relief of the hardships that face the homeless community and into a more permanent solution.
